Hi! I'm Katjana, the creator behind this shop.
I'm based in the Netherlands and I specialize in designing and 3D-printing unique terrariums for jumping spiders, tarantulas, and mantises.
My journey began when I couldn’t find terrariums that matched my style and met the needs of my spiders — so I decided to start designing my own. After sharing my creations online, others became interested too, and that’s how this little shop was born.
This is purely a hobby-driven project, something I truly love doing. I keep my prices as affordable as possible because I want more people (and their eight-legged friends) to enjoy quality enclosures without it costing a fortune. Since I also work part-time alongside running this shop, every order and bit of support means the world to me.
Every product you see here is thoughtfully designed by me and thoroughly tested on my own spiders before being made available in the shop. I believe that both form and function matter — my goal is to create safe, practical, and visually appealing habitats that both you and your invertebrates will love.
Beyond my work with invertebrates, I’m a big automotive enthusiast — especially when it comes to Japanese cars. I even own three myself. I also love photography, and in the past I officially photographed at automotive events and did hobby-level automotive photography. These days I still enjoy shooting with my Sony A7IV whenever I get the chance.
When I’m not designing, printing, or behind a camera, you’ll often find me gaming on console or spending time with the rest of my animal family.
Besides my spiders, I share my home with two beloved pufferfish: Barry the Puffer (my little celebrity) and Brody, a Tetraodon miurus. I also have a bearded dragon named Mephisto and a 15-year-old lovebird, Nimbus (RIP 16-17-05), who has been with me since he was just six weeks old.
I live just outside Tilburg in the Netherlands together with my husband, with whom I’ve been for 19 years.

Hoi! Ik ben Katjana, het gezicht achter deze webshop.
Ik woon in Nederland en ben gespecialiseerd in het ontwerpen en 3D-printen van unieke terrariums voor springspinnen, vogelspinnen en bidsprinkhanen.
Mijn avontuur begon toen ik zelf geen terrariums kon vinden die aansloten bij mijn stijl én voldeden aan de behoeften van mijn spinnen. Dus besloot ik ze zelf te ontwerpen. Nadat ik mijn creaties online deelde, bleek al snel dat anderen er ook enthousiast over waren — en zo werd Eightlegged fluffs geboren.
Dit project is volledig ontstaan vanuit mijn hobby en passie. Ik doe dit omdat ik het oprecht leuk vind. Ik probeer mijn prijzen zo betaalbaar mogelijk te houden, omdat ik wil dat zoveel mogelijk mensen (en hun achtpotige vriendjes) kunnen genieten van kwalitatieve verblijven zonder dat het een fortuin kost. Naast deze shop werk ik ook parttime, dus elke bestelling en elke vorm van support betekent ontzettend veel voor mij.
Alle producten die je hier ziet zijn door mij ontworpen en uitgebreid getest bij mijn eigen spinnen voordat ze in de shop verschijnen. Voor mij zijn zowel functionaliteit als uitstraling belangrijk — mijn doel is om veilige, praktische én mooie leefomgevingen te creëren waar zowel jij als je ongewervelde dieren blij van worden.
Naast mijn passie voor ongewervelden ben ik een grote autoliefhebber, met een speciale voorliefde voor Japanse auto’s. Ik heb er zelf drie. Ook fotografie is een grote hobby van mij. In het verleden fotografeerde ik officieel op automotive events en deed ik daarnaast automotive fotografie op hobbybasis. Tegenwoordig pak ik nog steeds graag mijn Sony A7IV erbij wanneer ik de kans krijg.
Als ik niet aan het ontwerpen of printen ben, of achter de camera sta, ben ik vaak te vinden achter mijn console of breng ik tijd door met de rest van mijn dierenfamilie.
Naast mijn spinnen woon ik samen met twee geliefde kogelvissen: Barry the Puffer (mijn kleine celebrity) en Brody, een Tetraodon miurus. Ook heb ik een baardagame genaamd Mephisto en een 15-jarige agapornis, Nimbus(RIP 16-17-25), die al bij me is sinds hij zes weken oud was.
Ik woon net buiten Tilburg, samen met mijn man, met wie ik inmiddels 19 jaar samen ben.

Ik heb zelf springspinnen, vogelspinnen en bidsprinkhanen gehad en in bezit. Deze praktijkervaring helpt mij om verblijven te ontwerpen die écht aansluiten bij de behoeften van deze dieren, gebaseerd op echte verzorging en observatie.
